Jenny Fisher

Painter

I recently relocated to Asheville from Atlanta with my husband and three children. I’m a self-taught artist. As a young girl, I enjoyed drawing and painting, but never pursued art beyond that. A book called The Creative Call by Janice Elsheimer helped me reconnect with my creative higher power and released talents buried inside.

I enjoy the variety and challenge of working with more than one medium. My work consists of abstract acrylic paintings accompanied by poetry, charcoal/pastel drawings, collage and photography. I’m inspired by the beauty I see around me, from the colors of nature to the sensual lines of the human figure. My paintings are fueled by the spontaneous overflow of powerful emotions that find their outlet on the canvas.

With my art work and my story, my hope is to inspire others to discover the unique creativity I believe is found within each of us.
